Our wonderful experience of the last late winter on these West Alpine beginner’s summits certainly calls for a repeat visit!
Amidst thin air at 4000m and a springtime feeling between Val Savaranche and Val d’Ayas, it is possible to encounter your first high alpine mountain experience with 2-3 technically not too difficult, but magnificent summit climbs, or simply have a good time at the closing phase of the ski-touring season. After journeying together to the Val Savaranche, we eventually reach one of the two refuge huts in the Gran Paradiso, in the afternoon sun. In harmony with the weather and snow conditions we can then ascend both summits, and revel in the superb descents back down to the valleys below.
